PADI Introduction Dives
The PADI Intro dive program is a relaxed and safe introduction to scuba diving, closely supervised by Keira. We will teach you some basic skills and review the safety aspects of diving before you enjoy your dives to 12 meters!

We specialise in small groups for your safety and enjoyment. It’s normal to have 2 divers per instructor, but guarantee no more than 3/4 students per instructor.

Can’t swim? Don’t worry, you do not have to be a strong swimmer to partake in our Discover Scuba Program, we do most of the work for you!

If you can’t swim or are a little bit nervous about the dive then we strongly suggest that you complete the skills practice in the confined water before going out on the boat.

For Discover SCUBA diving you start by having a short theory session in the shop before your instructor will show you your equipment. Then there is a quick dive quiz to ensure you understand the training briefing.

After that we will give you a general dive briefing on what to expect underwater. Teaching you techniques to clear your ears, how to swim underwater and show you all the fish that you might see whilst diving.

Dive Skills
There are 3 different dive skills to complete for the Discover SCUBA Diving experience.

Skill 1 – Clearing your regulator.
Skill 2 – Finding your regulator.
Skill 3 – Clearing your mask.

Once you have completed the skills you are ready to dive.

Koh Lipe and all the surrounding islands are protected as National Marine Park. There are limited vehicles (only motorbike taxis) on the islands and everything is within a comfortable walking distance. Due to Koh Lipe’s marine park status there is a marine park entry fee of 200 baht which is payable at the marine park desk in Pak Bara pier on check in for your boat to Lipe You must keep this ticket for the duration of your stay and if you wish to go snorkeling you’ll be asked to present this ticket to enter the snorkeling spots.

If you wish to dive there is an additional 200 baht Marine park diving fee per days diving payable at the dive shop on the day your dives.

PADI Open Water Course 3 to 3.5 days

The PADI open water course is suitable for those who do not already hold a scuba diving license,who can swim & are comfortable in water & have no medical issues which are not compatible with scuba diving. Please read the medical form in the link below.

What’s involved? 
This course requires 3.5 to 4 days to complete. You have the option to complete the theory online before coming also. This will save you some time when here. Simply send me an email with your preference.

The first two days are of theory, equipment set ups, briefings and confined water training dives.  The training will take place approximately between the times of 9am to 4:30pm. Your times will vary depending on the tides but you can expect to busy with the course over a period of 6/7 hours per day)

The following two days will consist of completing your 4 PADI open water dives. The first two dives of your PADI course will be to a maximum depth of 12 meters. The last two open water dives can be to a maximum depth of 18 meters.

(This is the maximum depth that your license will allow you upon completion of your PADI Open Water Course. Start times are sometimes flexible should have a preference for earlier or later start times.

What’s included?

This course includes instruction by Keira, all PADI materials, PADI certification fees, Scuba diving equipment, lunch, water and scuba diving insurance. A full set of equipment includes mask, snorkel, fins, BCD, Regulator, dive computer & wetsuit should you choose to wear one. Water temperature varies from

26c to 30 degrees Celsius  or 79 to 86 Fahrenheit year round.

How many people will be on the course with me?

The maximum number of students per course is 4. Should you prefer a private course then please add 1,000 baht per day if you are requesting a private course for 1 person or 500 baht per person per day for a private course for 2 people. If you are a group of 3 or more people then there is no additional charge for private instruction.

Do I need to be a strong swimmer?

No you do not, however you do need to be able to support yourself in the water. There are two basic swimming tests to complete, a 200 meter swim (any style with no time limit) & a 10 minute float before you can start the course. The option for a 300 meter snorkel with mask snorkel and fins is also allowed in lieu of the 200 meter swim.

How important is the medical form?

Very important! You will be breathing compressed air during the course and going to depth some some conditions like asthma may not allow you to dives. Also some medications are also not compatible with diving.  You can review this medical form just below. PRIVATE GUIDING +500 baht per dive

If it has been a while since you last dived then you may need to review your scuba diving skills. If you have been away from diving for 6 months or longer then we can offer you a choice of refresher courses.

Private Boats Available.

We have the option to book a private boat for your diving day. You can choose from your own private Traditional Thai Longtail Boat, your own private Custom built Diving Speedboat, or even our Luxury VIP Catamaran! Please contact us for pricing, options, availability and further details.

Scuba Refresher

Price – 2,500 THB
Duration- 1 Day – 1 Dive

For Private instruction +500 THB

This basic refresher is for those who have not dived in a year or more. It also includes 1 dive in the Marine Park. We will review the basic dive theory, the set up of your scuba gear & practice some mask, regulator, buoyancy & emergency skills at the start of your dive on a shallow sand patch close to the reef.

If you wish to spend further time on your buoyancy skills you can also enroll in a Buoyancy speciality course which is a fun way to fine tune your breathing and buoyancy. A great choice if you wish to experience closer and safer interactions with the reef and build more confidence. It can also count as one dive towards your PADI Advanced Open Water Course!

Full Scuba Scuba Review (with Confined Training)

Duration – 1 or 2 Days – 2 Dives

For Private Instruction +500 THB per dive

This is a fully comprehensive program suitable for those who have not dived in over 2 years. We review dive theory with you and take you through your equipment setup. We will review the full set of skills from your Open water course. The training will be conducted in water shallow enough in which to stand & in a controlled environment off one of the stunning beaches of Lipe.

Training will be followed by two supervised dives in the National Marine Park around Koh Lipe, where you can take your time, regain lost confidence & be reminded of how amazing & mesmerising it was when you first learned to dive

If you are a certified diver and have dived within the last 6 months to a year then you can join the daily dive trips around Koh Lipe. You can do 1- 4 dives per day guided by Keira who has been teaching and guiding divers in Lipe since 2012. Our diving groups consist of a maximum of 3 / 4 divers per guide so that everyone can enjoy a relaxed and safe diving experience.
